De Bloemen van Oostende
De Bloemen van Oostende is an atmospheric brasserie on the Ostend Zeedijk, a stone's throw from the beach and the Visserskaai. The restaurant reflects the maritime identity of the city with a menu full of fresh North Sea fish, shrimp croquettes, mussels in season and other Belgian classics. The spacious terrace on the seafront offers sweeping sea views and is a favourite spot for locals and tourists alike to enjoy a meal after a walk along the water.
Accessibility is exemplary thanks to the recent fit-out and the location on the level promenade. The entrance is step-free and wide enough for all types of wheelchairs. The dining room and terrace are on the same level, with no thresholds or height differences. An adapted toilet is available with grab bars, plenty of turning space and a low-set washbasin. The staff are experienced with guests who have reduced mobility and are happy to help.
The brasserie is easy to reach by car and public transport. Adapted parking spaces are provided along the Zeedijk and in the nearby underground Parking Centrum. The coastal tram stops at Marie-Joséplein, just a few minutes' wheeling away. The entire Ostend Zeedijk is fully step-free, making an extended walk before or after the visit highly recommended.
