The Tour Burbant is an imposing medieval defence tower from the 12th century in the centre of Ath. The tower was built by Count Baldwin IV of Hainaut and is one of the best-preserved donjon remnants in Belgium. Today, the tower houses an exhibition on the history of the city and its famous Ducasse d'Ath, a UNESCO-recognised folklore event.

The accessibility of the Tour Burbant is partial due to the medieval character of the building. The ground floor is reasonably accessible, but the upper floors are reached via narrow stairs and are not suitable for wheelchair users. Adapted toilets are available nearby. The immediate surroundings of the tower are paved and flat.

The Tour Burbant is located in the heart of Ath, on the Place du Marche. Parking spaces are available on the square and in the surrounding streets, including reserved spaces. Ath train station is within walking distance. A visit to the tower can be combined with the Espace gallo-romain or a walk through the charming city centre.
