Restaurant Biétrumé Picar Namur
Biétrumé Picar is a long-standing favourite on the Namur dining scene, a restaurant that has for decades been serving classic French-Belgian dishes in a warm and classical interior. The menu follows the seasons with dishes around game, fish and asparagus, accompanied by an extensive wine list. The name refers to a local Namur legend about a character known as the devilish sweet-tooth.
The main entrance has been fitted with a wide opening without a threshold and a discreet ramp. The ground-floor dining room is fully accessible with wide passages between the tables. Staff like to know in advance that a guest in a wheelchair will be arriving so that a table with optimal space can be reserved. The adapted toilet has an automatic door, grab rails and a low washbasin.
The restaurant is in the historic centre of Namur, which means the surrounding streets are partly cobbled. The access route from Parking de l'Hôtel de Ville has been planned to be as level as possible, but a slightly bumpy section remains. Namur station is ten minutes' roll away via Rue de Fer, which is completely paved with smooth tiles.
