Restaurant L'Escargot Andenne
Restaurant L'Escargot is a family-run restaurant in Andenne, a friendly town on the Meuse between Namur and Huy. The establishment has been in the same family for more than thirty years and is known for its traditional Belgian bistro cuisine: beef stew with chips, sea bass in a salt crust, and of course snails — often in ten different preparations on the seasonal menu. The spacious dining room with classic decor radiates a homely warmth.
The establishment is fully step-free. The main entrance has a flush threshold and an automatic door, and the dining room is on the ground floor with sufficient room between the tables for wheelchairs. An adapted toilet with grab bars and an alarm cord is available in the hallway next to the kitchen. The staff are warm and happy to accommodate specific requests when booking.
The restaurant has its own paved car park with several adapted spaces directly in front of the entrance. The surroundings of Andenne are largely flat and paved. For those wanting to combine with culture, the splendid Sainte-Begge collegiate church is a five-minute walk away, with partially step-free access to the nave.
