The Parc Communal of Andenne lies along the Meuse in the centre of town and, together with the neighbouring Parc de la Gayolle, forms a green lung along the river. The park combines old trees with flower beds, a children's playground and a riverbank with views of the Meuse. It is a popular place for walks during the lunch break or at the weekend.

The walking paths in the park are paved, flat and wide enough for wheelchairs, rolling walkers and strollers. From every entrance, the central lawn can be reached without slopes, and the promenade along the Meuse connects to the park step-free. Adapted toilets are available in nearby public buildings, including the town hall and the cultural centre of Andenne.

In front of the park there are reserved PMR parking spaces, and larger car parks are within walking distance. A visit to the Parc Communal combines well with the other sights of Andenne, such as the Musee de la Ceramique and the RAVeL cycling promenade along the Meuse.
