Restaurant l'Auberge de l'Ange Huy
Restaurant l'Auberge de l'Ange is located in a historic building in the heart of Huy, within walking distance of the Collegiate Church of Notre-Dame and the Meuse. The restaurant offers a modern take on classic Walloon cuisine: ingredients are sourced as much as possible from farmers in the Hesbaye and Condroz regions. Dishes such as poached trout from the Ourthe, leg of lamb from the Hautes Fagnes and Liège syrup in the desserts form the pillars of a seasonally changing menu.
Accessibility at l'Auberge de l'Ange is partial. The main entrance on the street side has been made step-free with a discreet ramp, and the ground-floor dining room offers enough room for wheelchair users with wide aisles between the tables. An accessible toilet is provided on the ground floor. The upper floor with the wine cellar and private room is only reachable via a narrow historic staircase and is not accessible for wheelchair users.
A few PRM parking spaces are available on Quai de Namur, about 80 metres from the restaurant. Note that some of the surrounding streets have cobbles, so the approach route should be chosen carefully. The Huy tourist office provides a free wheelchair-friendly city map showing the best routes between the sights.
