The Musée communal de Huy is housed in a former 17th-century Franciscan monastery, within walking distance of the Meuse and the Collégiale Notre-Dame. The museum offers a varied collection on the history of Huy and the Meuse valley, including archaeological finds, religious art, folklore, crafts and furniture from various periods.

Because the building is a historic site, accessibility is partial. A side entrance gives wheelchair users access to the ground floor, where a significant part of the collection is displayed. The upper floors are reached via stairs and are less suitable for wheelchair visitors. An adapted toilet is available in the reception area.

There is a small car park with an accessible space near the museum, and the public car park along the Meuse is a few minutes' walk away. The paths and pavements around the museum are paved, though historic side streets may include cobblestone sections.
