Le Cor de Chasse Spa
Restaurant Le Cor de Chasse in Spa is a firm favourite with fans of Ardennes cuisine. The name and decor explicitly nod to the region's hunting heritage: genuine hunting horns, old engravings and paintings with game scenes line the walls. The menu strictly follows the seasons: between October and January, classics such as medallion of venison, wild-boar stew and partridge appear alongside wild mushrooms from the Hautes Fagnes. In summer, more fish dishes and seasonal vegetables are added.
Accessibility is partial. The main entrance has been made step-free with a discreet ramp, and the ground-floor dining room is wide enough for wheelchair users. The accessible toilet with the necessary features is on the same level. A cosy mezzanine with a few extra tables is only reachable via some steps and is therefore not accessible, but the main dining room offers plenty of capacity and atmosphere.
The restaurant has its own car park with reserved PRM spaces. The immediate surroundings of Le Cor de Chasse in the centre of Spa are mostly flat and offer excellent opportunities for a wheelchair stroll to the Thermes de Spa or the Casino, both prominent buildings that are also wheelchair-accessible. In autumn, the restaurant is particularly busy, so booking is strongly recommended.
