Pouhon Pierre le Grand
The Pouhon Pierre le Grand is the most famous spring building in Spa, named after Tsar Peter the Great who came here to take the waters in 1717. In this beautiful 19th-century building in the centre of Spa, one of the town's most renowned mineral springs rises to the surface. Visitors can taste the iron-rich water and view an exhibition on the spa history of Spa.
Accessibility is partial. The main entrance of the building is step-free and the ground floor with the spring is accessible by wheelchair. Some parts of the building, such as the exhibition spaces on the upper floor, may be more difficult to reach. Adapted toilets are available nearby.
The Pouhon Pierre le Grand is located on the Place Royale in the heart of Spa. Parking is available on the square and in the area. Spa station is a short walk away. A visit can be combined with a stroll through the Parc de Sept Heures or a ride on the cable car to Les Thermes de Spa.
