Hotel Duinhof De Haan
Hotel Duinhof is set in a green, peaceful part of De Haan, a few minutes from the seafront and surrounded by the tall villas and small squares that make this coastal resort so popular. The hotel was built around a classic villa and extended with a modern wing that blends respectfully with its surroundings. Guests can use a wellness centre with sauna and jacuzzi, and the restaurant serves a seasonal menu with a strong emphasis on fish and shellfish from the North Sea.
Accessibility was thoroughly addressed during the hotel's extension. The main entrance is step-free and fitted with an electric door. Several adapted rooms are spread across the floors and are reachable by a spacious lift. These rooms offer a walk-in shower, grab rails, a lowered washbasin and sufficient manoeuvring room. The restaurant, bar and wellness area on the ground floor are all step-free. The wellness section is not specifically adapted but has an accessible changing room and a spacious shower area.
The hotel has a spacious private car park with three reserved PRM spaces. The access to the promenade is paved and flat, and the coastal tram stops within walking distance. Duinhof is an excellent base for wheelchair-friendly day trips to Wenduine, Bredene and the Zwin region.
