The beach of Blankenberge is one of the most popular family beaches on the Belgian coast, characterised by its expansive sand, the historic Pier from 1933 and the colourful beach cabins. The wide sea dyke is more than two kilometres long and completely level. Alongside the beach you will find the Zeedijkbar, Sea Life and the new Spiegel van de Zee artwork.

The beach works hard on accessibility for everyone. Mobi-Mat paths are laid at several points, allowing wheelchair users and less mobile visitors to roll deep onto the sand. Free beach wheelchairs and swimming wheelchairs (Tiralo type) are available during the summer from the lifeguard post at the Pier and on Desiré Devosstraat. Adapted toilets are present at the main beach accesses on the sea dyke.

Reduced-mobility parking spaces are provided on the Zeedijk, at Leopoldplein and at Blankenberge railway station (a few minutes' walk from the beach). The Coastal Tram stops nearby and runs along the entire coast with adapted low-floor trams. The Pier is also accessible via a lift and a long ramp, which rounds out the experience.
