Publiek is a creative Ghent restaurant working with a rotating surprise menu in which seasonal produce, forgotten vegetables and refined sauces take centre stage. The restaurant has been awarded a Michelin star and is known for its accessible philosophy: no strict dress code, an open kitchen and a relaxed atmosphere in which the guest comes first.

The main entrance is entirely step-free and leads directly into a spacious and open dining room. The tables are deliberately spaced far enough apart to optimise both acoustics and manoeuvring space. The adapted toilet has plenty of turning space, grab rails and a low washbasin. When booking, you can indicate that a wheelchair-accessible table is required so that the staff can prepare the set-up in advance.

Publiek is located in a quiet side street on the edge of Ghent's historic centre. The streets immediately around it have a mix of cobbles and smooth tiles; the access route from the car park is paved. A few adapted spaces are available in the street, and the underground Vrijdagmarkt car park with lift and adapted spaces is five minutes' roll away.
