NTGent - Schouwburg
The Schouwburg of Ghent, located on Sint-Baafsplein opposite the cathedral, is a neoclassical theatre building from 1899. It is home to NTGent, one of Europe's leading theatre companies under the direction of Milo Rau. The building combines historical grandeur with modern stage technology.
The theatre has wheelchair spaces in the main auditorium, accessible by lift. The foyer and theatre café are accessible at ground level. A hearing loop is available for those hard of hearing, and some performances offer audio description. Adapted toilets are located on the ground floor. Staff are happy to help find the best seat.
Accessible parking spaces are available on Sint-Baafsplein and in the nearby car park. The theatre is excellently served by public transport. Wheelchair spaces are best reserved in advance through the ticket office.
