Restaurant Erfgoed in Turnhout is housed in a beautifully restored monumental building in the historic centre of the city. Its name pays tribute to the rich history of Turnhout's playing-card industry and the castle site adjacent to the building. The interior pairs historic elements such as exposed brick walls and old wooden beams with a modern open kitchen. The menu is contemporary Belgian with a strong focus on local producers from the Kempen.

Accessibility is partial. The main entrance on the Grote Markt is step-free thanks to a discreet sloped transition, and the main ground-floor dining room is wide enough for wheelchair users. An accessible toilet is provided on the ground floor. The upper floor with a private room is only reachable via a historic staircase and therefore not accessible. The main ground-floor room is, however, more than sufficient for a full experience of the restaurant.

The restaurant is on the Grote Markt, which is fully paved but partly features cobbles. The square has reserved PRM parking spaces, and the underground car park near the town hall has a lift and accessible spaces. After dinner, the surroundings offer various options for a short wheelchair stroll towards the Castle of the Dukes of Brabant or the Playing-Card Museum.
