Le Relais du Marquis is housed in a renovated 19th-century coaching inn in Grez-Doiceau, surrounded by the rolling landscape on the Hageland-Brabant border. The cuisine is refined French-Belgian with seasonal produce from local suppliers, and the wine list is put together by an owner-sommelier with a passion for Burgundy and Bordeaux. The building combines authentic beams and an open fireplace with a bright and contemporary interior.

Accessibility is partially but properly developed, given the historic character. The main entrance has a slight threshold that is bridged by means of an extendable ramp; advance notice when booking is appreciated. The dining room is entirely on the ground floor with sufficient space between the tables. The toilet is reachable without steps but the door is slightly narrower than ideal; an adapted sanitary facility is available at the adjoining function room.

The restaurant has its own paved car park with adapted spaces close to the entrance. The immediate village centre is flat and pavement-friendly. For those wanting to combine with a walk: the Le Bois de Beausart nature reserve, five minutes' drive away, has a step-free walking path.
