♿ Wheelchair accessible

Bellekouter park lies on the edge of the centre of Asse in the Pajottenland. The park combines an undulating grassy area with old groups of trees, a small pond and an extensive play area. From the highest points in the park you can see the rolling hills of the Pajottenland and, on clear days, well beyond the Brussels periphery.

Accessibility has been carefully arranged. The main paths are paved with smooth asphalt or pavers and wide enough for two wheelchairs side by side. The slopes are gentle, but for very weak users with a manual wheelchair a companion may be welcome on the climbing sections. The children's play area has a wheelchair-accessible soft-fall surface and several inclusive play structures. Benches and picnic tables are placed at regular intervals. Adapted sanitary facilities are not permanently on site; the nearest are at the town hall, five minutes' roll away.

Disabled parking spaces lie on Kerkstraat and at the park's main entrance. Asse can be reached by bus from Brussels-Noord. Combine with a terrace break on the Markt of Asse or with an outing to the Abbey of Dielegem in neighbouring Jette. The park is a quiet, well-maintained location for a local walk away from the bustle of Brussels.
