The Bibliothèque communale of Houffalize is a municipal facility with a French-language collection of books, comics, magazines and digital resources. Houffalize is a charming Ardennes town along the Ourthe, historically known for the severe destruction it suffered during the Battle of the Bulge (Ardennes Offensive, 1944-1945). The library works with schools and associations from the wider Ardennes region.

The library is easily accessible for wheelchair users. The entrance is step-free and the aisles between the shelves are spacious. A lift connects the floors so that all collections are reachable. An adapted toilet is available and staff are happy to help you find books on higher shelves.

Reserved parking spaces are available in the immediate vicinity. You could combine your visit with the Hôtel de Ville or the Parc communal, or use Houffalize as a base for an Ardennes stay.
