Brouwerij Bosteels Buggenhout
Brouwerij Bosteels in Buggenhout is a family business rich in tradition that has been brewing beer since 1791, including the world-famous Pauwel Kwak with its distinctive coachman's glass and the three-grain Tripel Karmeliet. The brewery combines historic buildings with modern brewing techniques and offers group tours by appointment, during which the rich history, the brewing process and the iconic way Kwak is served are all explored in detail.
The public spaces, including the reception room and the tasting room, are flat and accessible to wheelchair users. The main entrance has no threshold, the tour route through the modern brewing area is largely level, and an accessible toilet is available. The tasting of Kwak in its characteristic wooden stand makes for a unique experience.
Parking is available on the site with spaces right next to the entrance. Buggenhout lies between Dendermonde and Mechelen and is accessible via the A12 or N47. Tours are by reservation only, preferably for smaller groups. When booking it is advisable to mention wheelchair use so the route can be tailored accordingly.
