Brouwerij Liefmans in Oudenaarde, beautifully located on the Scheldt, is world-renowned for its brown beers and fruit beers such as the iconic Liefmans Kriek and Fruitesse. The brewery has been brewing since 1679 in the tradition of long-matured Oudenaarde brown beers. During a visit you discover the unique maturation rooms, the paper-wrapped Goudenband bottles and the refined process of fruit maceration in the cellars, closing with a tasting of these characteristically sweet-and-sour beers.

The visitor centre has been renovated with an eye on accessibility. The entrance is flat, the reception area and tasting room are well suited to wheelchair users and all public areas are step-free. The tour through the main production and maturation rooms is largely on ground level. An accessible toilet is available.

There is parking on site with spaces for visitors with reduced mobility. Oudenaarde is easy to reach via the N60 from Ghent or the N8. The brewery is a short distance from the historic centre of Oudenaarde with the town hall and the MOU Museum, ideal for a combined visit.
