Brouwerij De Gans Oudenaarde
Brouwerij De Gans is a craft microbrewery in Oudenaarde with its own tasting room and brasserie. The brewers make traditional Flemish red-brown beers typical of the area along the Scheldt. The brasserie pairs an approachable menu of regional dishes such as beef stew in beer, beef carbonade and aged mimolette with a broad offering of their own beers and a selection of guest brews.
The entrance to the brasserie is step-free thanks to a ramp added during the renovation. The tasting room is on the ground floor with wide aisles and ample turning space around the tables. The accessible toilet is wheelchair-friendly and meets PRM standards with grab rails and enough manoeuvring room. The street-side terrace is also paved and flat.
Parking is available in the private car park with reserved spaces next to the entrance. The centre of Oudenaarde is mostly paved; a visit combines perfectly with the MOU Museum and Oudenaarde Town Hall, both largely wheelchair-accessible. The brewery tours themselves are partially accessible; mention your need for an adapted tour route when booking.
