Brouwerij Van Steenberge in Ertvelde, part of the municipality of Evergem, is a family business rich in tradition that originated in 1784 and is internationally known for its powerful Gulden Draak and the abbey beer Augustijn. The brewery combines centuries-old recipes with high-tech production. During a tour, visitors can discover the brewing process, learn more about the iconic beers and the history of the Van Steenberge family, followed by a tasting in the modern tasting room.

The visitor centre has recently been renovated with excellent accessibility. The entrance is level, the reception area, shop and tasting room are spaciously laid out and fully step-free. The tour route through the modern production area is largely on the ground floor and wheelchair accessible. An accessible toilet with turning space is provided.

There is extensive parking on site with accessible spaces close to the entrance. Ertvelde lies in the Meetjesland region, easily reached via the E34 between Antwerp and Zeebrugge. Tours are by reservation; when booking you can mention wheelchair use so everything can be optimally prepared for a relaxed visit.
