♿ Wheelchair accessible

Brouwerij Huyghe in Melle, just south of Ghent, is known worldwide as the brewery behind Delirium Tremens, recognisable by the pink elephant on its label. The brewery has been in operation since 1906 and has grown into a modern production site with an extensive range of beers. During a tour, visitors can discover the brewing process, see historic beer bottles and of course taste the well-known Delirium beers in the tasting room.

The visitor spaces are modern and well suited to wheelchair users. The entrance is flat, there are no thresholds along the walking route and the tasting rooms are spaciously laid out. An accessible toilet is provided. The tour goes partly through the production area, with the main route being flat and accessible; at any higher-level sections the guide can offer an adapted alternative.

There is plenty of parking on site with accessible spaces near the entrance. Melle is easy to reach via the E17 and lies a short distance from Ghent. Booking a tour is recommended, and if wheelchair use is mentioned the tour is adapted for guests with reduced mobility.
