Volta is housed in a spectacularly renovated former power station in the Ghent Zuid district. The imposing industrial architecture, with its tall windows and preserved steel structures, forms the setting for a modern kitchen that delivers refined menus built around sustainable and local produce. The open kitchen at the heart of the restaurant adds a theatrical dimension to dinner.

The main entrance on Nieuwe Wandeling is entirely step-free, with wide doors that can accommodate electric wheelchairs and mobility scooters. The central dining room offers exceptionally wide passages between the tables, which is typical of this spacious industrial setting. There is an adapted toilet on the ground floor with full turning space, grab rails and low fittings. Staff are familiar with guests who need extra support.

The surroundings of the building have been recently redesigned with even paving and a wide access ramp to the car park. Adapted parking spaces are provided right at the door. Tram 4 stops a few minutes' walk away at Zuidpark. The route from Sint-Pieters station can be fully rolled via tram 1 to the Zuid stop, from where a level pavement leads to the restaurant.
