Viernulvier, the former Vooruit Arts Centre, is one of the most versatile cultural houses in Flanders. The iconic Art Nouveau building on the Sint-Pietersnieuwstraat in Ghent was built in 1913 as the 'Feestlokaal van Vooruit' for the socialist workers' movement. Today it functions as a cultural meeting place for music, theatre, dance, literature, debate, and contemporary art.

The building has undergone a thorough renovation in recent years, with special attention to accessibility. The main entrance is step-free reachable via a ramp, and a spacious lift connects all floors including the Main Hall, the Ballroom, and the Theatre Hall. In each hall, reserved wheelchair spaces are provided. Adapted toilets are present on multiple levels. When booking you can indicate your specific needs.

The atmospheric café on the ground floor is level accessible and popular with students and culture lovers. Viernulvier is within walking distance of the Sint-Pietersplein and the Overpoortstraat. Disabled parking spaces are available in the underground Sint-Pietersplein car park. People with a disability pay a favourable rate, and their companion enters free of charge.
