Château de Vêves
The Chateau de Veves in Celles, near Dinant, is a fairytale castle with five round towers dating back to the 13th century. The castle is still inhabited and contains a rich collection of 18th-century furniture and artworks. The estate offers stunning views over the Lesse valley and the surrounding Ardennes.
The courtyard and gardens around the castle are largely accessible via paved paths. The ground floor of the castle, including the great hall and the chapel, is reachable for wheelchair users. The upper floors and cellars are only accessible via stairs. Adapted toilets are located near the entrance to the estate.
The car park is a short distance from the castle. The access road has a moderate slope but is paved. The castle regularly organises events and exhibitions, with extra attention paid to accessibility. The nearby village of Celles has been named one of the most beautiful villages in Wallonia.
