CIAP, the Centre for Innovative Contemporary Productions, is one of the most important players in the contemporary art and culture scene in Limburg. Based in the centre of Hasselt, CIAP operates as a project space, a residency venue for emerging artists and a partner for large-scale regional art projects. The programme changes quickly and includes exhibitions, performances, lectures and workshops, with a strong emphasis on young makers from Belgium and abroad. The centre collaborates regularly with the nearby Z33.

The space was fully designed for accessibility during its last renovation. The main entrance is barrier-free and fitted with an automatic door, and the ground-floor exhibition spaces are laid out spaciously. A small lift provides access to the offices and a second exhibition floor for visitors by prior arrangement. An accessible toilet with all the necessary features is located on the ground floor. Audio guides are available for visitors with a visual impairment.

CIAP is located in the centre of Hasselt, close to Z33 and the Grote Markt. Reserved accessible parking spaces can be found in the Dusartplein and Stationsplein underground car parks, both with lifts and adapted spaces. The immediate surroundings are fully paved and level. A cultural day in Hasselt is ideal as a combination of CIAP, Z33 and the nearby Fashion Museum Hasselt.
