De Roma Antwerp
De Roma in Borgerhout is one of the most beloved concert and theatre halls of Antwerp. The former cinema from 1928 was restored by volunteers in the early 2000s and today hosts a vibrant programme of pop, rock, world music, jazz, comedy, and family performances. The warm, red hall with its art-deco details is a monument in itself.
For wheelchair users De Roma is well accessible. An adapted entrance on the side offers step-free access via a lift to the hall level. In the main hall, reserved wheelchair spaces are provided on the balcony with a panoramic view of the stage. The foyer is completely level, and adapted toilets are available. When booking, it is best to mention the need for a wheelchair space so that the team can welcome you.
De Roma is located on the Turnhoutsebaan, within walking distance of the Parkbrugpark and close to the tram stops of line 10. Disabled parking spaces are limited in the surrounding streets; the underground Elisabeth car park offers a broader alternative. Companions of visitors with a disability receive free admission on presentation of the European Disability Card.
