The Domein Nieuwenhove in Oostkamp is a former castle park that was developed into a public green space by the municipality after the castle was demolished. The estate, covering more than ten hectares, retains the charm of a 19th-century English landscape garden, with stately beech, oak and plane trees, a central pond and winding paths. The park is a favourite spot for Oostkamp residents and a welcome break for visitors to Bruges looking to avoid the crowds.

The main paths in the estate are paved with concrete or asphalt, laid out flat and wide enough for comfortable wheelchair use. A few side paths to the pond are semi-paved but remain passable in dry weather. Benches and picnic spots are regularly placed. Accessible toilets are only partially available in the adjoining cultural centre or at the catering venues near the village centre; during festivals a mobile accessible facility is provided.

The entrance on Brugsestraat offers a spacious paved car park with reserved accessible spaces. The park connects to the accessible walking route towards the village centre and the Warande zone. Combine your visit with a barrier-free terrace at Café In de Vrede Oostkamp, or with a cycling trip on the accessible node network towards Beernem and Sint-Michiels. A peaceful outing for those wanting to get to know the countryside on the edge of Bruges.
