Café In de Vrede is a warm village café in Oostkamp, a stone's throw from the Oostkamp castle park and only a few minutes from Bruges. The café attracts a mixed audience of neighbours, cyclists and nature lovers exploring the Warande green zone. The beer list counts more than fifty Flemish beers, rounded out with simple cheese platters, aged ham and home-made soup.

The main entrance is step-free from the pavement. The café room is entirely on the ground floor with wide aisles and enough space to manoeuvre between the tables. The accessible toilet meets PRM standards with grab rails, a washbasin at a workable height and enough turning room. The front terrace is paved and flat to reach.

Parking is available in the private car park with reserved spaces right in front of the entrance. Oostkamp station is a ten-minute drive away. The surroundings are flat and accessible for a pleasant tour; combine your visit with a trip along the paved paths of the Nieuwenhove castle grounds or the flat Warande lanes. The village is a quiet base for visiting Bruges without the bustle of the centre.
