Famenne en Aventure Marche-en-Famenne
Famenne en Aventure occupies a large wooded site near Marche-en-Famenne and combines adventurous activities with a nature-education trail for families. Well-known climbing activities such as death rides and rope courses are at its core, but there is also an extensive visitor area with level walking loops, educational panels and a play area.
For wheelchair users the nature-education section is the highlight. The main path is paved to compacted dolomite and stays within reasonable slopes. The educational panels are placed at wheelchair height. The welcome pavilion, the cafeteria with its barrier-free terrace and the adapted sanitary blocks are new builds and fully compliant with adapted standards. The adventurous activities themselves (climbing wall, accrobranche) are not wheelchair accessible; for adapted adventurous experiences, the centre organises guided handbike and tricycle outings by appointment.
Disabled parking spaces lie right next to the welcome building. Allow half a day for a relaxed visit with nature education and lunch on the terrace. Marche-en-Famenne itself has an adapted Tourism Office and a quiet town centre that lends itself to a brief follow-on visit. Combining with an outing to the Domain of Chevetogne makes for a complete family day.
