Lac des Doyards is a man-made recreational lake on the edge of Vielsalm in the East Belgian Ardennes. The lake was created by damming the Salm and is popular with families, anglers and walkers. Around the water is a well-laid-out walking route of about two kilometres, fully paved and excellently suited to a wheelchair walk.

Accessibility is remarkably good for an Ardennes location. The loop around the lake is wide and paved with smooth asphalt or pavers, and the height differences are limited to gentle slopes. On the south side there is an adapted mooring jetty where you can roll right up to the water's edge — handy for a photo moment or a fishing session. A play meadow with inclusive equipment lies on the north side. Adapted toilets and a cafeteria with a barrier-free terrace are at the main reception.

Disabled parking spaces are amply provided along Rue du Lac. The lake is an ideal combination with a stay in Vielsalm or with an outing to the Bastogne War Museum half an hour's drive away. In summer, adapted activities are organised at the lake, including guided wheelchair walks and handbike taster sessions.
