Houffalize Topia
Topia lies in the heart of the Ardennes on the edge of Houffalize and is a green recreation area that combines nature experience with adventurous discoveries. Through interactive installations, visitors can get to know the fauna and flora of the Ardennes, try out a play zone or walk along the Ourthe. The centre is geared toward families, schools and groups.
The infrastructure of the visitor centre itself is well accessible: entrance, reception desk and the central exhibition spaces are at ground level, with an adapted toilet available. The outdoor paths along the Ourthe and in the lower part of the domain are partly paved and flat; in the more wooded zones, narrow paths with roots and slopes are less suitable for wheelchair users.
The car park is spacious and free, with reserved PMR spaces close to the entrance. Topia is a good base for a broader visit to Houffalize, with a wheelchair-accessible promenade along the Ourthe and restaurants in the centre of town. In peak season, special family activities and themed guided tours are organised.
