Cycling Through the Trees in Bosland Hechtel-Eksel gently lifts you ten metres up in a double spiral until you are cycling at eye level with the treetops. At the highest point you enjoy views across the crowns of pines and birches. The Corten steel structure has been named one of the most striking cycling experiences in Europe and draws hundreds of thousands of cyclists every year from Belgium and abroad.

The cycle path has a steady gradient of around four percent, which most riders find comfortable, especially on an e-bike or a wheelchair cycle with motor assistance. The surface is a textured metal grid that narrow wheelchair wheels can also roll over, though an e-bike or duo cycle is preferable here. The railing is high and sturdy. Several short rest spots with viewpoints line the path. There are no steps at the bottom or at the top; the path runs continuously from ground level to the peak.

The car park is a short distance away and is paved, with reserved spaces. An adapted toilet is located at the Pijnven welcome pavilion or at the Hechtel-Eksel visitor centres. From the car park, a paved path with gentle slopes leads to the foot of the structure. No reservation is needed; on busy summer days you may have to queue briefly at the top for a photo.
