FOMU Photo Museum
FOMU, the Photo Museum of the Province of Antwerp, is located at Waalsekaai in the vibrant South district of Antwerp. The museum houses an impressive collection of over one million photographs and presents changing exhibitions on contemporary and historical photography. FOMU is one of the most important photography museums in Europe and attracts thousands of visitors each year.
The museum is fully accessible for wheelchair users. The entrance is step-free and a lift connects all floors. The exhibition spaces are spaciously designed, allowing easy navigation in a wheelchair through the exhibitions. Adapted toilets are available on every floor and the museum shop is also wheelchair accessible. Companions of visitors with disabilities receive free admission.
FOMU is within walking distance of the Royal Museum of Fine Arts and the Museum aan de Stroom (MAS). - Fully step-free — step-free entrance, lift to all floors. Accessible toilet on every floor. The museum shop is also accessible.
- Visit tip
- Waalsekaai is completely flat and low-traffic. Combine with M HKA (contemporary art, 5 min away) or KMSKA via the flat Leopold De Waelplaats for a day of photography and art in the Zuid district.
