Kouterhof Sports Centre Aarschot

Sports Centre Kouterhof in Aarschot is the most important sports complex of the city, with a sports hall, an outdoor and indoor swimming pool, tennis courts, and outdoor fields. The complex is intensively used by local sports clubs and schools, but is also open to free-use athletes and families.

Accessibility is well developed. The main entrance of the sports hall is step-free with automatic sliding doors. The changing rooms are spacious and there is an adapted cubicle with its own shower, bench, and grab rails. The swimming pool has a lift chair and an adapted entrance with a wide staircase with handrail. Disabled parking spaces are located close to both entrances, and adapted toilets can be found in various places.

For wheelchair sportspeople the centre offers space for wheelchair basketball and other adapted sports; there are occasional introductory lessons. The cafeteria is level accessible and overlooks the sports fields. Aarschot is well reachable from Leuven and Diest. Persons with a European Disability Card and their companion enjoy a discount rate.
