The Kusttram terminus in Knokke is a hub for day trippers and beachgoers from across the region. From this stop, the longest tram line in Europe runs to De Panne in a single straight coastal connection, with stops at every large and small seaside resort. For a day out without the stress of parking and traffic, the coastal tram is an ideal solution, and the Knokke stop itself was fully redeveloped a few years ago.

The stop features raised platforms at tram height, allowing the low-floor tram to be boarded step-free. Each tram has a fold-out ramp operated by the driver on request. The adjacent station building has a step-free entrance, a lowered ticket counter and an adapted toilet. Tactile guide lines, contrast markings and audible announcements are also in place.

The square around the stop is fully paved with even cobbles and links up with bus routes, the nearby Knokke railway stop and several reserved parking spaces. From the stop, the Knokke seawall can be reached via a flat, paved pedestrian zone; the distance is about ten minutes of pushing at a relaxed pace.
