Restaurant C-Jean Knokke
Restaurant C-Jean in Knokke is a firm favourite for lovers of fish and shellfish from the North Sea. The restaurant was founded by a family with strong roots in shrimp fishing and emphasises fresh seasonal produce sourced directly from the Zeebrugge auction. The dishes range from classic preparations such as sole meunière to more contemporary creations with North Sea sole, langoustines and oysters. The wine list is extensive and also features a selection of Belgian craft beers.
During a recent renovation, the restaurant was made fully accessible. The main entrance is step-free through an automatic door, and the large ground-floor dining room is laid out clearly with enough distance between the tables. A spacious accessible toilet with all the necessary features is on the same level. The staff are trained to assist guests with a disability and can reserve an adapted table on request.
C-Jean has its own car park with a few PRM spaces right in front of the entrance. The restaurant is within walking distance of the Knokke promenade, which is wide, fully paved and offers excellent wheelchair-friendly walking options. The coastal tram stops are also a short distance away and wheelchair-accessible. A visit to C-Jean combines perfectly with a trip to the Zwin Nature Park or the shopping streets of Knokke-Heist.
