Casino Knokke
The Casino of Knokke is one of the iconic buildings on the Belgian coast and has been a central point in the fashionable life of Knokke-Heist since 1930. The expansive casino, located on Albertplein in the heart of Knokke, offers an extensive range of gaming tables and slot machines, but is above all famous for its impressive art collection. The legendary mural Le Domaine Enchante by Rene Magritte adorns the hall, and works by Paul Delvaux and Keith Haring decorate the rooms. In addition to its gaming offer, the casino hosts concerts, fashion shows, gastronomic events and the annual cartoon festivals.
Accessibility has been thoroughly worked out. The main entrance on Albertplein has a ramp and automatic doors, and all halls are reachable via wide corridors and lifts. The gaming floor offers sufficient space for wheelchair users between the tables. Adapted toilets are available in several places. The restaurant and bar are accessible on the ground floor and have wheelchair friendly tables. For art tours you can book a personalised visit with attention to accessibility.
A spacious car park with disabled parking spaces is located beneath Albertplein. The seafront in front of the casino is fully paved and flat, and Lippenslaan with its luxury shops is just minutes' walk away. Knokke station is about fifteen minutes away with adapted public transport. Combine a visit with a trip along the seafront or a stop at the nearby Zwin Nature Park.
