Bos t' Ename, near Oudenaarde, is one of the oldest forests in Flanders, with a history going back to the Middle Ages. The forest hosts unique old oaks, beeches and a rich understorey with spring plants, wood anemones and wild hyacinths. The Provincial Archaeological Museum on the edge of the forest brings the region's archaeological treasures to life, with the vanished medieval trading settlement of Ename as its central theme.

An adapted walking loop with a paved path runs through an important part of the forest and is suitable for wheelchairs, scooters and prams. The route passes several information panels and rest points with adapted picnic tables. An adapted toilet with grab bars and ample turning space is available at the car park and the visitor centre. The museum itself is also step-free accessible.

The car park on the edge of the forest has accessible parking spaces right by the start of the adapted route. The link between the car park and the path is fully paved. Access to the forest is free; separate tariffs apply for the museum, where visitors with a European Disability Card and their companion can enter at a discount or free of charge.
