♿ Wheelchair accessible

The Public Library of Damme is a modern municipal facility with an extensive collection of books, comics, magazines, films and digital resources. Damme is a historic little town just north-east of Bruges, known as the book village of Flanders and for its medieval heritage (Tijl Uilenspiegel). The library works closely with schools and associations across the wider region.

The library is easily accessible to wheelchair users. The entrance is step-free and the aisles between the shelves are wide. A lift connects the floors so that every collection is reachable. An accessible toilet is available and staff are happy to help with books on higher shelves.

Reserved parking spaces are available in the immediate vicinity. Combine your visit with the Town Hall or the City Park.
