Restaurant De Jonkman is Filip Claeys's two-star restaurant on the northern outskirts of Bruges. It is known for using only North Sea fish and West-Flemish products; Claeys is a driving force behind the local fisheries collective NorthSeaChefs. The dining room is set in a carefully renovated farmhouse with a view over the garden and orchard behind.

The entrance is step-free via a flat paved approach from the parking area. The dining room is entirely on the ground floor with plenty of room between the tables. The accessible toilet has grab rails, a lowered washbasin and enough turning room. The terrace and garden are also accessible via flat paved paths. The staff are experienced at discreetly assisting guests with reduced mobility.

The grounds have ample parking, including reserved spaces near the entrance. De Jonkman is reachable by car or taxi from Bruges station in ten minutes. Its location outside the historic centre is an advantage for wheelchair users, as it avoids the cobbles of the Bruges inner city. Booking several weeks in advance is strongly recommended.
