Parlamentarium
The Parlamentarium is the European Parliament's flagship visitor centre in Brussels and the largest parliamentary visitor facility in Europe. Through immersive multimedia exhibits, interactive touch screens and a dynamic 360-degree cinema, visitors explore how the European Union works, how laws are made and how the Parliament shapes the lives of half a billion citizens. All content is available in 24 official EU languages, making it one of the most multilingual museum experiences anywhere in the world. Admission is entirely free.
Accessibility has been built into every aspect of the Parlamentarium from the outset. The entire centre is fully wheelchair accessible, with wide corridors, automatic doors and step-free routes throughout. Braille maps are provided for visitors with visual impairments, and sign language content is integrated into several exhibits. Adapted restrooms are available on site. Staff members are trained in assisting visitors with various accessibility needs and are always on hand to help.
The Parlamentarium is located on Place du Luxembourg, directly adjacent to the European Parliament building in the heart of the EU quarter. While there is no dedicated on-site parking, the nearby Schuman and Luxembourg railway stations both offer step-free access. The surrounding streets are largely flat, making the approach from public transport stops straightforward for wheelchair users.
