Scooter and e-bike rental Bruges Kanaalpoort

Near the Kanaalpoort on the edge of the Bruges city centre lies a rental point specialising in electric mobility: mobility scooters for people with reduced mobility, e-bikes, three- and four-wheeled scooters and tandem bicycles. The point was set up to open up the car-free historic centre to less mobile visitors as well, without having to battle the cobblestones and bridges.

The counter is located in a ground-floor space with a barrier-free entrance and a wide door. On arrival, staff demonstrate how the mobility scooter or e-bike works and adjust the saddle or backrest to your body shape. An adapted toilet is available in the nearby public sanitary stop. Rentals are by the hour, half-day or full day; advance booking is strongly recommended, especially at weekends and during the peak tourist season.

The rental point lies near the ring road, with a spacious paved car park and reserved spaces. From the point, a mostly paved cycle path leads towards Minnewater Park and the Beguinage Bridge. Keep in mind that the fully historic core of Bruges is partly cobbled; many tourist routes can be mapped out at this rental point along the flattest tracks.
