The Saint Nicholas Church of Perwez is a striking neo-Gothic church from the second half of the nineteenth century, with a tall spired tower visible for miles across the rolling landscape of eastern Walloon Brabant. The church replaces an older place of worship and has been an important meeting place for the parish since its consecration. Inside, the polychrome wall paintings and stained glass windows stand out.

The main entrance has several steps, but the municipality has placed a mobile ramp so that wheelchair users can reach the nave through the same entrance. In the church the main aisles are wide and flat, with room on both sides of the nave to take a place with a wheelchair. There are no adapted toilets in the building itself, but in the centre of Perwez there are cafes and restaurants with adapted sanitary facilities at short distance.

In front of the church lies a spacious paved square that serves as a market square and car park, with several PMR spaces close to the side entrance. The church is usually open during the office hours of the parish secretariat and during services. A visit combines well with a short walk through the old village centre.
