The Sportimonium in Hofstade (municipality of Zemst) is Belgium's sport and Olympic museum that preserves and celebrates the country's rich sporting heritage. The museum opened in 2004 and is housed in the Beach Building in the De Plage recreational domain. The collection boasts no fewer than 13,000 objects, tens of thousands of photographs and hundreds of metres of archives and documents charting Belgian sporting history.

The Sportimonium is wheelchair accessible. The exhibition spaces and the Victor Boin Preservation Hall, where visitors can see how artefacts are conserved, are reachable for wheelchair users. The entrance is step-free and the building has lifts. Adapted restrooms are available. The museum's surroundings, the De Plage recreational domain with its beach on the pond, also offer paved paths suitable for wheelchairs.

The Sportimonium is located in the De Plage recreational domain along Tervuursesteenweg in Hofstade and is reachable by train (Hofstade station) and bus. Ample parking is available with accessible spaces. The museum combines excellently with a day out at De Plage, where you can also swim and walk in a green setting near Mechelen.
