The City Park of Tongeren is a pleasant green area in Belgium's oldest city. The park lies near the remains of the old Roman city walls and offers a peaceful spot for walkers, families and local residents. Mature trees, flower beds and open lawns provide a pleasant atmosphere year-round.

The main paths are paved and largely level, so the park is accessible for wheelchair users and people with rollators. Benches are plentiful and some information boards explain the history of the site. Public toilets are not in the park itself, but can be found in the nearby centre and at cafés.

Adapted parking spaces are available in the surrounding streets. The City Park is within walking distance of the Gallo-Roman Museum, the basilica and the Grote Markt. It makes a lovely stop on a visit to the town.
