Brasserie 't Pelterke Tongeren

Brasserie 't Pelterke is a traditional brasserie in the historic centre of Tongeren, just minutes from the Grote Markt and the Basilica of Our Lady. The menu features regional Limburg classics such as braised rabbit with prunes, eel in green sauce, vol-au-vent and homemade fruit tarts. The beer list focuses on local breweries including Achel, Cristal Alken and Sint-Bernardus. In summer, the terrace overlooking a quiet side street is a pleasant spot.

The entrance has a small threshold that can be crossed with assistance. The ground-floor dining room has sufficient room for a wheelchair; ask at reservation for a table near the entrance. The toilet is partially adapted with a wider cubicle, but not fully equipped for disabled users. For an adapted toilet you can use the nearby Gallo-Roman Museum.

Parking is at Parking Veemarkt or Parking Vermeulenstraat, both with disabled spaces. The immediate surroundings of 't Pelterke have some cobbled sections; approach the building from the west side for a flatter route. Combine your visit with a stroll through the Beguinage of Tongeren or an afternoon at the Gallo-Roman Museum.
