Brasserie De Lommert is a popular brasserie on the Vrijthof in Tongeren, just a few minutes' roll from the Onze-Lieve-Vrouw Basilica and the Gallo-Roman Museum. The venue combines a classic brasserie menu with regional dishes such as Limburg asparagus, eel in green sauce and a fine selection of regional beers from breweries including Achel and Cornelissen.

Accessibility is excellent. The main entrance on the street side is fully barrier-free. The spacious interior has wide aisles between the tables, and most tables sit at a height suitable for wheelchairs. The adapted toilets are on the ground floor and are fitted with grab rails and ample turning space. The summer terrace on the Vrijthof is level and offers a view of the Ambiorix statue; it is laid out on smooth tiles.

Parking with a blue badge is possible on the Vrijthof itself and in the underground car park beneath the Grote Markt, five minutes' roll away. The brasserie is ideally placed for those planning half a day in Tongeren and seeking a rest stop between the Gallo-Roman Museum and a tour along the Roman walls. Reservations are recommended at weekends and on market days.
