The Centurion is an established name on the Grote Markt of Hasselt, a meeting place where generations of Hasselt locals come together. The menu features all the classic Belgian dishes such as beef stew, vol-au-vent, mussels, shrimp croquettes and steaks, supplemented by a seasonal lunch formula. The beer list is extensive with a focus on Belgian Trappist beers, geuze and local specialties. The terrace on the Grote Markt is one of the most pleasant in the city.

The entrance is barrier-free from the car-free Grote Markt. The ground-floor dining room is spacious with sufficient passage between the tables, and staff are happy to move chairs for a wheelchair. The adapted toilet is fully equipped for disabled users with grab bars and turning space. Reservation is recommended at weekends and during good terrace weather.

Parking is best done at Parking Quartier Bleu or Parking Dusartplein, both with disabled spaces and short walking distances via car-free pedestrian zones. The Grote Markt itself has some cobbled sections; approach the terrace from the Demerstraat for the flattest route. Combine your visit with an afternoon at the Saint Quentin Cathedral, the Fashion Museum Hasselt or the Modepaleis.
