Bruges Station
Bruges Station is the gateway to one of Europe's best-preserved medieval city centres. The current station building from 1939, designed by Jozef Viérin, replaced the older station that originally stood on the Markt. Buses and taxis run directly from the station to the historic city centre.
The station is fully wheelchair-accessible. All platforms are reachable via lifts and the main entrance is step-free. Adapted toilets are located in the station hall. SNCB/NMBS offers free support via its Assistance service, which must be booked at least three hours in advance via 02 528 28 28 or the online form. The trains on lines 50A and 66 have wheelchair-accessible carriages with adapted toilets.
A spacious reduced-mobility parking zone is available in front of the station and there is a direct accessible bus connection (line 12 or 1) to the centre, with level boarding. The bus stop on the north side of the station has lowered kerbs and tactile guidelines for blind and visually impaired travellers. The station square is entirely level.
